Begin the Intake Process at Our Christian Rehab Center in New Mexico
If you or a loved one is ready to begin the journey toward recovery from drug or alcohol addiction, this page explains every step of the Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico Men’s Center intake process.
How Do I Start the Intake Process?
Start by contacting one of our intake specialists. We will guide you through the steps, answer questions, and help you determine whether the program is the right fit.
Intake may take 24 hours to 2 weeks, depending on documentation, detox needs, and availability.
What Does the Intake Team Consider?
- Applicant’s willingness and desire to change
- Mental health history and medications
- Medical conditions and medication needs
- Legal history (past and present)
- Outstanding warrants
- Funding eligibility
- Level of care required
- Residency or location
Please note that we are a voluntary program. We are not a lockdown facility. The applicant must be willing to accept help and participate fully.
Guidance for Friends and Family
Every individual struggling with addiction is different. When speaking with a loved one, communicate with honesty, care, and compassion—never condemnation.
We do not perform interventions, but can refer you to trusted third-party interventionists. If your loved one is suicidal or mentally unstable, seek immediate medical help or call 911.

Intake Step One: Confirm Willingness and Desire to Get Help
Applicants must be willing to commit the necessary time—usually one full year—and put in the effort required for long-term recovery. Because community donations cover many expenses and space is limited, we reserve admissions for individuals who demonstrate a genuine desire to make a positive change.
Intake Step Two: Contact Us to Begin
Contact us or complete the inquiry form to get started. If the program seems like a good fit, we will send you the application packet to download and complete.
Intake Step Three: Submit the Application
Once we receive the application, an Intake Counselor will contact the applicant to discuss the next steps, including financial details and any necessary detox requirements.
Please note: We will not make repeated attempts to reach the applicant. Follow-through is part of demonstrating readiness for the program.
