What Is the Mission of Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico?

Our mission is to evangelize individuals struggling with life-controlling drug and alcohol addictions and begin the discipleship process that helps them function as Christians in society. We apply Biblical principles and behavioral health support to help men rebuild relationships, grow spiritually, and develop healthy, responsible lifestyles.
 

Who Does Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico Serve?

We serve adult men and women, ages 18 and older, in two separate residential rehab centers:

• Men’s Center — Tijeras, New Mexico
• Women’s Center — Roswell, New Mexico

Residents often come to us with long histories of substance use, broken relationships, and life-controlling issues. Each rehab center provides a structured, faith-based environment designed for deep, long-term healing.
 
    

How Do Men Experience Transformation?

Through practical Christian teachings, counseling, classes, and daily structure, participants learn how to break destructive patterns and form a new identity in Christ. Recovery at our Adult & Teen Challenge near Albuquerque, New Mexico, is holistic, addressing the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects of life.
 

Why Is the Adult & Teen Challenge Model Effective?

Teen Challenge, founded in 1958, now includes over 265 centers nationwide. It is recognized for its long-term success, including an 86% cure rate reported by the U.S. government. Our rehab centers rely on community support and provide a proven faith-based solution to addiction.

Participants live in a safe, structured environment at a reduced cost to families. Through counseling, work therapy, and spiritual development, they learn personal responsibility, healthy habits, and life skills that support long-term recovery.
 

What Is the Work Therapy and Vocational Training Program at Adult & Teen Challenge?

Work therapy is a vital part of recovery. Participants develop practical job skills, cultivate strong work habits, and gain confidence under the guidance of the Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico team. This training prepares them for successful employment after graduation.

Long-Term Residential Program for Men

Our 12–15 month residential program helps men overcome substance use through evidence-based practices and faith-based support. A multidisciplinary team of counselors, chaplains, coaches, and mental health practitioners focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every participant.
 

Restoration Recovery Program

Our 6-month restoration track is for individuals who have completed a year-long Adult & Teen Challenge program. It helps participants strengthen their recovery, rebuild spiritual foundations, and repair relationships.

Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico Christian Rehab Centers

Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico’s rehab centers focus on building healthy relationships, restoring lives, and helping participants overcome addiction. Staff members work alongside clients to identify the root causes of addiction and teach new, healthy patterns.
 

Legal and Community Partnerships

We work closely with probation officers, courts, and law enforcement to support participants with legal challenges. We also provide outreach in jails and prisons to help individuals find recovery resources within Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico or other programs.
